Overview

YOU BOUND is an English Yume Nikki fangame created by Clinginglies in RPG Maker 2003. It was developed as an entry for Dream Diary Jam 6.

Gameplay

YOU BOUND pays very clear homage to Earthbound. The player can save and quit at Felix's bed and gains access to a virtual world they can explore after an introductory section where Felix talks to his dad over the phone and then goes out to buy a new game.

Plot

Felix is a jobless anthropomorphic fox living with his roommate Kilroy, a red panda. Felix is shy and withdrawn; it's implied he spends a lot of time in his room playing video games. On his 20th birthday, using money his father gifted him, Felix buys himself a mysterious new game. Not long after booting it up for the first time, a satellite appears above the town and Felix is able to connect with it using the game console.

Upon arrival, Felix is declared the new king and must absorb the other former kings while picking up Signals that grant him new abilities.

Alien		Felix becomes an alien.
Fox		Felix becomes a quadrupedal fox instead of an anthropomorphic one
Mask of Delight		Felix dons a mask. Pressing shift in the area you find it changes all the NPCs to look identical to him.
Baseball Bat		Felix wields a baseball bat and can break certain things as well as attack NPCs.
