Overview

Yume no Kirby is an English Kirby/Yume Nikki fangame created by Ondaja in RPG Maker 2003. It was developed as an entry for Dream Diary Jam 6 and as a tribute to the Kirby series' 30th anniversary.

The music present in-game are all covers of existing songs from the Kirby franchise, and were composed by dinoburger and Slamm.

Gameplay

Yume no Kirby is a traditional fangame. The player can save by interacting the sheet of paper on the desk and enter the dream world by interacting with the bed. The goal of the game is to explore and collect Abilities.

Controls

Move - Arrow Keys
Interact/Select - Z
Open Menu - X/Esc

Plot

You play as Kirby and explore through his dreams.

Abilities (Effects)

Name	Image	Description
Ice		Kirby has the Ice copy ability, making him skate along the ground and increase movement speed.
UFO		Kirby has the UFO copy ability, making him float and increasing movement speed.
Sleep		Kirby has the Sleep copy ability, donning a purple night cap.
Popopo		Kirby is in black and white, referencing Kirby's appearance from the older games and original name from its conception.

Technical Difficulties

While it is possible to save in Kirby's Home, it is impossible to wake up and return to the real world Kirby's Home when dreaming. As such, it is impossible to save your progress when playing, though it shouldn't really be an issue with the size of the game.
