They are Confined is an English Yume Nikki fangame created by Egg in RPG Maker MZ. It was developed as an entry for Dream Diary Jam 6. The game is currently unavailable for download.

"I was/am still very inexperienced in game-development, and there were so many game breaking bugs within it, that I decided to remove it from my itch.io entirely. [...] I rushed myself to be able to make a game in time for the jam, and in the end, I made something I'm completely and utterly unhappy with. Gameplay
They are Confined is a traditional fangame. Sleeping in the bed takes the player to the dream world. Instead of effects, the player must witness certain events in the dream world to unlock the ending. Seeing these events will also unlock notes that can be read from the bookcase in the bedroom, revealing bits of the game's backstory. Interacting with the bathtub allows the players to save.

- Move - Arrow Keys
- Interact/Select - Z/Space/Enter
- Open Menu - X/Esc
- Move Faster - Shift (if Always Dash is turned off)
Plot
You explore the protagonist's troubled past through their dreams.
Tools/Memories
- Gloves - Used to push boulders and other heavy objects out of the way.
- Axe - Used to kill NPCs and cut down objects blocking the player's path.
