Overview
Yon Goh/No. 4 (4号) is the main character of Witoru. He is possibly the first male protagonist of a Yume Nikki fangame (the other possible holder of the title is Alex), and the first to have in-game dialogue.
Appearence
Yon Goh has brown hair sticker out from his grey baseball cap, and a matching grey hoodie with a large "4" on the front, and dark grey shorts with dark grey shoes/sneakers too.
Personality
Yon Goh is one of the few protagonists to actually talk and interact with his NPCS, and frequently talks throughout other parts of the game as well. When drawn in fanart, people generally depict him as being an excited young boy who likes exploring his huge dream world.
In ver Alpha5+ he is shown as a rather carefree person, as well as someone who is mainly friendly towards his dream denizens and someone who tends to think outside of the box, suggesting a NPC a simpler way to give him an effect and trying to avoid conflict with D4, the recourring NPC (and chaser) who looks just like him but wearing red clothes.
Past
It has been theorized that there is a connection with Yon Goh and the chasers, who look just like him but wear red and have a "D" on the front of the hoodie instead of a "4". Yon Goh is also drawn very often with Kagerou from Kage, Souzou, In, another game by Atteiu.
Based of the strong industrial themes in the game as well as the fact that he seems to live in a factory district based of the view of his balcony, he might have lived in industrial areas his whole life, but he also seems to have some connection with traditional beliefs, as some of the items he has in ver Alpha5+ are charms and amulets and many areas on his dreams feature shrines and traditional villages. He is also friends with Kagerou and seems to be rivals with D4, but how they met and said relationships started is unknown.
