Overview

I Had The Strangest Dream, Ivan is a Yume Nikki fangame created by Stuffman. It was made for Dream Diary Jam 2 in RPG Maker MV, then updated for Dream Diary Jam 3.

The game is primarily in English mixed with Russian dialogue; the Russian text was produced with Google Translate and is not meant for the player to actually be able to read it.

Gameplay

I Had The Strangest Dream, Ivan is a traditional fangame. The player enters the dream world by sleeping in the bed. From there, The player can explore the various dream worlds and collect effects. Talking to Ivan, the man outside the bedroom, allows the player to save.

Plot

You play as Alexei, an ordinary man who's been unable to find work. He stays in an unfinished building and has befriended a resident there named Ivan. Alexei is unable to leave due to the rainfall, so he stays inside and dreams.

Effects

Effect	Image	Description
Traveller		Alexei wears a different outfit. Pressing Q brings him to the Nexus.
Surfboard		Alexei rides a surfboard, increasing his speed.
Cowbell		Alexei wears a cowskin cloak with a cowbell. Pressing Q teleports him to the Innards (a deeper part of the Nexus).
Burning Man		Alexei's cloak is on fire. Certain items will burst into flame as he walks near/by them.
Power Amulet		Alexei wears an amulet. Allows you to kill certain NPCs.
