Overview

The Crash: Storm Clouds of the Mind is an English Yume Nikki fangame created by Strung Up Starlight. It was made in RPG Maker MV for Dream Diary Jam 2. The game uses Alice in Wonderland as its theme mixed with 1960's aesthetics.

The game is currently unavailable for download. A remake titled Rain And Red Roses was published two years after its release.

Gameplay

The Crash: Storm Clouds of the Mind is a traditional fangame. The player enters the dream world by sleeping in the bed. Effects and items are hidden throughout the dream world for the player to find. Progress can be saved at the typewriter in the bedroom.

The effects menu can be accessed by pressing the 1 key. Pressing 9 will wake the player up. Pressing Shift with no effects equipped will teleport the player to the Nexus.

Plot

The game stars Elizabeth, a young 1960's college student who is having weird dreams.

Effect	Image	Description
Flamingo		Elizabeth rides on a flamingo, increasing her speed. Pressing Shift makes a heart appear.
Mushroom		Elizabeth becomes a mushroom. Pressing Shift makes her change color.
Chesire Grin		Elizabeth becomes a grinning shadowy figure. Pressing Shift causes her to go invisible for a few seconds.
