Overview

GNOMEDROME is a Yume Nikki fangame created by AsAnAsterisk. It was made for Dream Diary Jam 2 though the creator did not submit it among the itch.io jam entries, and was later updated for Dream Diary Jam 3 as well as Dream Diary Jam 4.

Gameplay

GNOMEDROME is a non-traditional fangame, and heavily features dialogue, as well as the player not being trapped in their room in the real world. The player saves with a camera in Yelka's room. Every effect acquired will slightly alter Yelka's room.

Plot

The player controls Yelka Dead, a young gnome woman, she lives in a house along with her father, Alder.

Effects and Items

Effect	Image	Description
Pajamas		Not an effect, but what Yelka automatically wears in the dream world.
Ballet		Yelka wears ballerina attire. Increases the player's movement speed.
Reset		Yelka wears an outfit resembling her real world outfit but with her fake beard, she doesn't lift her legs when she moves. Allows the player to see things that used to be there.
Bell		Yelka wears 70's-esque clothing with bell decorations. Allows Yelka to warp to the Archives, by being dug out by Gurai, only works if the player has previously retrieved his wallet for him.
Drifter		Yelka dons a cloak and her hair resembles wings, bangs covering her eyes. Used for understanding what hasn't happened yet or will eventually not happen.
Cockatrice		Yelka becomes a cockatrice shielding its face with its wings, upon pressing Shift, she lifts her wings and freezes NPCs.
Hand		Yelka becomes a walking hand, when pressing Shift near an NPC, Yelka will flick them, moving them in the direction she's facing. Most stationary NPC's will not be moved but will give unique dialogue upon being flicked.
Chorus		Yelka dresses as one of the chorus. When pressing Shift near an NPC, Yelka's sprite set will change into the NPC's and can walk around the dream as them until Shift is pressed again or the effect is unequipped. Walk speed while transformed is set to the default walk speed, even if the NPC themselves is slower. When transforming into a stationary NPC, Yelka cannot move and will automatically revert back to the default chorus sprite after a couple seconds.
