Overview

Black Astral is an English Yume Nikki fangame created by Brood. It was made for Dream Diary Jam 2 in RPG Maker 2003.

Gameplay

Black Astral is a traditional fangame. You enter the other dimension by praying at the shrine. Your main goal is to explore and collect effects (referred to as Sorcery/Spells in this game). You save by interacting with the crystal ball outside the shrine.

Plot

You play as an old man named Gamling. He plans to escape his disease-ridden world by travelling through different dimensions.

Effect Image Description
Imp GamlingImp.png Gamling becomes an imp, letting him hover off the ground. Pressing Shift makes him wave his arms.
Hairy GamlingHairy.png Gamling is covered in hair. This effect increases his speed.
Hag GamlingHag.png Gamling turns into a hag. Pressing Shift makes Gamling laugh.
Babu GamlingBabu.png Gamling becomes a baby-like creature. Pressing Shift plays vocal sounds.
Seething Mask Gamlingmask.png Gamling wears a mask.
