Overview

yqriel is an English Yume Nikki fangame created by buraketto. It was made for Dream Diary Jam 2 using the LÖVE (love2D) engine. A rewritten version was made for Dream Diary Jam 3.

Gameplay

Version 0.23

yqriel is a non-traditional fangame, focusing solely on exploration. Instead of a Nexus, the player starts in one specific area and can explore the world from there. This version of the game currently contains no items or a save function.

Version 0.13

yqriel is a non-traditional fangame. Your main goal is to explore the surrounding world and collect items you can equip from the menu, accessible by pressing Enter. The latter also has the Load and Phase options.

You save your progress by interacting with the switch in the little white building, accessible by going into the bigger one at the start point. To interact with something, press the Z key - the spacebar won't work. You can walk faster by holding Shift.
