Overview

Swan Song is an English Yume Nikki fangame by scummbag. It was made for Dream Diary Jam 7 in RPG Maker MZ.

Gameplay

Swan Song is a traditional fangame. Sitting at the desk allows players to save, while sleeping in the bed leads to the dream world. The goal of the game is to collect Effects and Mementos scattered throughout the dream world. Mementos allow the player to progress further into the game while Effects let the player interact with the world in different ways.

Unlike most fangames, players can explore outside the starting room. Talking to other NPCs in the waking world will change certain elements in the dream world and help in obtaining Effects and/or Mementos. The player's speed can be adjusted from the options menu.

• Toggle Speed - Shift (Hold to run if Always Run option is turned off)

Plot

You play a musician named Miya and explore your dreams.

Effects and Mementos

Effects

Effect	Image	Description
Glass		Miya carries an empty glass. Interacting with certain liquid sources will fill the glass. Pressing PgUp makes Miya drink from the glass. Pressing PgDn gives a description of the glass's contents.
Spotlight		Miya has a spotlight for a head, making it easier to navigate dark areas. Pressing PgUp makes the light flicker.
Boxing Gloves	TBA	TBA
Checkpoint		Miya carries a red checkpoint flag. Pressing PgUp allows Miya to either mark the area with a checkpoint or return to the hub. Leaving down a checkpoint will allow Miya to quickly return to that area via the hub.
Stage Outfit		Miya wears a black dress and ties her hair in a ponytail. Pressing PgUp makes Miya spin and play the guitar.
